William Nycum & Associates Limited has been building a portfolio of recladding projects. Many mid-century buildings have deteriorating façades but continue to by highly serviceable otherwise. We cut our teeth recladding Northwood Manor, a dynamic Long Term care and Assisted Living complex in Halifax. The complexity of the project was not only in the delivery of a new high-quality façade, but in removing and replacing the existing façade while frail residents occupied the rooms.
As of January 2006, WNAL are now constructing 2 more façade recladding projects: Northwood Tower and St Vincent's Guest house – both equally challenging in that the facilities must remain operational.
The resulting makeover gives the buildings new life and vivacity, making them appear to be new modern buildings.
