BackHarbour Terrace is a new 35-bed Assisted Living residence in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia that
is freestanding except for a connecting corridor to the HarbourView Haven Nursing home. As of January, 2006, the Design Documents were being completed with construction scheduled to begin
in the early spring.
The faculty is complete with dining and activity facilities and transforms HarbourView Haven into a "campus" facility that will enable operational efficiency and convenience to tenants.
The facility was designed to maximize independence and environmental control for residents. Its exterior was designed to provide a residential feel, with each house-sized bay sporting a different color to reduce the scale of the facility.
